Untitled 6 Poem by Jeremy M. Dreher

Untitled 6

Rating: 5.0

We watch and never learn
As if we didn't learn from our mistakes
I thought that was what we do
So why ruin lives?
Watching death, that's one thing
Perpetrating is another
But the worst is waking up being one of them
Pretending everything's the same
As if an excuse could help
When you know excuses can't save
The fact you let your ethics
Fly away with a smile while morals subsided
To think we are sons of perfection
Seems quite the joke
We're more like expensive gadgets
But most of them are broke
