Untitled 6 Poem by Brian Sonberg

Untitled 6

I watched the lights
watched them until they blurred
all these cars; the people
all of their stories
what do they matter
if no one hears them
they pile wood on the fire
and pieces of me burn away
as the fire leaps higher
this is my life
and they float into the night sky
and I... with them
