Shimmering hues alight the sky
Where o’er my head and past my soul
A thousand dreams will flit and roll
In timeless dancing for the gods
In hope that one and all might see
And think and feel and dream and fly
And all should likely heave and sigh
For lack thereof the will to try
To seize one’s thread, to guide the hand
Of fate’s cold touch upon our land
The tree, the branch, the cityscape
The world is snared, it’s not too late
Release yourself, just let it go
You too can soar and flit and roll
To validate the time you’ve spent
To show the world what you have meant
