Untitled Ii Poem by Rowland Howells Ibifiri Orumbie

Untitled Ii

Rating: 3.5

War of the head and heart
A relentless battle
The soul caught between and betwixt
Cornered in a vicious circle
A Philosopher and a failure
My war story with plot twist
And character mix
Viewed as both a victim and a victor
A scholar and a sailor
Standing up against propositions
That will leave me kneeling
They go on as the hero in their book
And write you off as the villain
When hate comes knocking at the door
The love goes out of the window
Along with everything you were into
When you get pushed and more
Falling inside an intolerable limbo
It becomes hard to stay simple
The quiet anger rises up from the floor
Hitting a violent crescendo
Passing the point of peaceful.
