Unyielding Pride Poem by Ali Farah

Unyielding Pride

Rating: 4.5

He who is boastful with unyielding  pride
Will let go many valuable camaraderies
For the two can not coexist in one cerebrum
As respeto links all friendship connections
Alas haughtiness demolishes real bridges
For the two can not reconcile  in a same bosom

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
As I look deep into the causes of conflict between friends, it becomes clear to me that communication was somehow lost in the process. Well, often times the root cause is not the bad communication but the individual ego, the self-pride that refuses to yield to accommodate the other person.

Pride goes before fall. Lasting friendship is all about give and take - the spirit of compromise. A lovely poem with a powerful message seeking to foster the brotherhood of man. Thanks for sharing.
