Upon Reflection Poem by Sebastian Mari

Upon Reflection

Upon reflection and her sorrowed mind
As she gazes through the paths lost time.
She gathers that her eyes loose sparkle
As she remembers the day that made her blind.

The breeze brushes her dark soften hair
as a tear rolls from its crest, so solitaire.
Worthy was she or perhaps a fool
But all a jest was she made to fare.

The wintery breath and sets His tone
As she ponders this broken gaze alone.
Lost is silence and passion for her pride
A memory or two never cast in stone.

Upon reflection and her journeyed mind
Slowly loosing grasp of her narrowed line.
Haste not tomorrow and its hurting smile
For yesterday she loved but was left behind.
