Upside Down Poem by Samkelo Dlamini

Upside Down

The beautiful life it was,
the respect that existed,
Humanity prioritised,
hunger was never experienced.

less people who used to be ill-mannered,
were used to be disciplined
no scandal went unquestioned
No deed went unpunished,
no woman would just get ravished
before the world went upside down
before existence of any clown
To an elder, you'd never frown
the rules were made known
before this world was turned, upside down.
