All you need is a little trip
To Hausaland for some lobby
Patched before the courtyard
It is the head of any house
The tail, the living rooms
And in the lobby
One dark rainy twilight
Was the houseboy having a meal
But he wasn't alone as he thought he was
For a hungry hyena was squatting before the door
Waiting for bones to be tossed away
And only when sky had flicked its glaring eyes
Had he seen the horror of the land
So raising alarm, he bolted to the parents
But when asked what the matter was
These were his words:
I was in the dinner eating my lobby
And when a hyena broke, Man! LIGHTENING-outside did i see!

Lovely narrative piece of poetry with a chilling sense of humour, well articulated and nicely penned in good diction. Thanks for sharing Haruna.
