Useless In Every Sense Poem by Sneha Murali

Useless In Every Sense

we all wait for the silver lining
for the winds to blow the clouds away
we all wait for the lights at the end of the tunnel
for the brightness of the sun to light the way

when problems are abrim and answers far
where's the velvet sky and the shooting star
why doesn't wishes ever come true
why doesn't god fulfill prayers too

we still wait for the brighter side
even when our lives are plunged into the dark
has something in our souls died? ? ?
cos it feels like the world's going mad, stark

people say the grass is greener on the other side
but why? ..cos all we get to see is a dead field
we cry for help..still no one cares
and we wait for the answers in life to yield

we put our hands out...but no one pulls us out
we're always in a deeper well...
we think our problems might go away now
but then it comes back strong as hell

guess all we can do is hold on tight
and ride this roller coaster kind of life
keep on hoping...keep on believing
that something of a miracle would come knocking

Now, one thing I liked about this is the repeating of 'we all wait' in the first paragraph! We still wait in the third stanza also beautified it! Such repeatitions sometimes make poems awesome!
