meeting is euphoric
tracing roots and looking
at the leaves
and marveling at the fruits
then what happens
next are the expectations
of what one can do
where the scrutiny begins
there will be demands
unsatisfied
prayers remain not
answered

that serves as a
sad ending
and there will be no more
surprises

plainly, too human
yes all too human and that
is what exactly happened between us
long before we even started
deep within the soul says
it is over.
