Valentine Love Poem by Olusegun Sotade

Valentine Love

A sudden fault halted a nymphet's automobile from going forth
in the sombre of the night's default she could not avoid.
There is no penny in the vault - what an insult
for a lady of VIP worth to have found herself in a situation money couldn't sort.

Her fear somersaults as four hefty guys approached to wade sexual assault
through a tussle of effort with which she retaliated the trouble confronted.
The full beam of on-coming headlamps in high velocity
aborted the planned criminality targeted at a renowned celebrity.

A wretched pair of shoes alighted from the parked cab.
The floored celebrity tilted her gleam up to glare a braw face under cap
before she fainted like a hopeless handicap.
A bleary gleam revealed a dirty ceiling along with the sound of a running tap.

The shocked celebrity glanced through the window
to have eye-contact with her rescuer, who was washing
his clothes under the running tap. She quickly buried her bonce under pillow
on realising his approach to enter the room and confirm who was watching.

She seated up after the pillow was withdrawn,
and they both headed for her mansion after her torn cloth was sewn.
She asked her rescuer what she could do to repay him
but his answer failed to fill her satisfactory jar to the brim.

Can you be my Val tomorrow? Oh sorry you already had one.
Why did you say so? Is it because of the female cloth I gave you to wear?
If you wouldn't mind, tell me about the lady for whom your heart is won.
His mood changes to narrate how he was jilted the night he appeared

at the scene of rescue. He bought the new cloth, now worn by the celebrity, as a gift
with which his 'Ex' could celebrate the valentine in great feast.
The listening celebrity said same thing happened to her same night.
They both celebrated valentine in new spark of a freshly lovely delight.
