Give me back my sister, God!
Oh, give me back her love;
Give me back our good old days
When cooked we by oil-stove!

Give me back my sister, God!
Oh, give me back the dove;
Give me back the lovely face-
An angel from above.

Give me back my sister, God!
Oh, give me back her now;
Give me back her former ways,
With soul to Thee but how?
