Valentine Toast Poem by Jeffrey Stultz

Valentine Toast

A Toast
Upon the feast of St. Valentine,
We raise a cup of hearty wine,
To extol and praise a love sublime,
And give thanks for a gift divine.

Our hearts are joyous everyday,
For the ladies God has sent our way;
No fading violets who wither away,
But perennials who are here to stay.

Their love is strong, its taken root,
And through time’s tempest bourn good fruit;
Their example leaves us resolute,
To devote ourselves in fond tribute.

The truest love to us they have shown,
That it honors us to call them our own.
