Vault Poem by Katherine Bryce

Vault

Rating: 4.0

Oh my love, I tell you with all my heart,
if I never had you I would be lost,
but now you see, we are so far apart,
and yet dear, it feels like there was no cost.

Truth, at first I was sad to see you go,
but now there is no pain that I do feel,
I'd be wrong to say I don't miss you so,
my heart did have time to completely heal.

At the end of the day, no one's at fault,
now I see that we are finally free,
it was like we were trapped in a small vault,
now there is nothing left, about to plea.

As clear as black and white, I see it now,
good-bye to you then becomes my last vow.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
So, I tried to write a sonnet,10 syllables per line and alternating lines per stanza rhyme. Um, this poem is very personal to me, and tells my current life's story, that is now but a memory. People will always come and go in your life, it's just finding out who is worth staying in your life.
