RIC S. BASTASA

Veiled Woman - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

I understand fully
how you dislike light
through your
everyday veils

when we speak
i do not mention about sunrise
for there will be tears

the windows are always closed
the doors open only
when there is a need
for air

i know how it is
when someone you love dies
taken away by
too much light
without your permission.
