Velvet Drops Poem by Walter C. Edwards

Velvet Drops

Velvet drops hit at dusk,
still waiting on the rains,
to cover the earth,
soak it up,
it is wet,
wash away my tears,
disperses my fears,
and then lust for me just the same,
at wanting you,
kill the hunger,
that I feel at needing you,
it is so real,
to close so I can feel,
just you next to me.
