Vengeance - Poem by Beth Mc'Neil

There's this overwhelming feeling that has settled in my chest
There's this knowledge in knowing that I can never be more than second best
And every time he speaks her name it kind of makes me want to scream
That evil little vindictive bitch that intruded on my dream
It's not like he would notice and if he did he doesn't care
Cause they way he talks about her you'd think she walks on air
She the master of manipulation
The object of his infatuation
And really this whole situation has pushed me to the brink
My heart just keeps pounding faster and it's getting hard to think
Water is fogging up my vision and as the tears begin to fall
I swear to God she will rue the day that she ruined it all
