Vessel Sank
there were the souls that with the vessel
sank
there were the bodies that ran red and
sank
there the stars were that lighted up
that night
there the screams, the cries, asphyxiated
speech
there were the eagles of desperation
hovering round
there were the fingers from the Heavens
down
