Victory Poem by Jennifer J. Slater

Victory

Rating: 0.5

What's going on? You asked. My answer is nothing more than a revitalization of the cultural revolution in my soul.
Rock-stone! Me a Jamaican. Still, I am a Canadian.
The desire to ascend to heights unknown fills my spirit with tempestuous longing.
I know not my destination; yet I will know when I have arrived.
The tranquility of the conquest is not found in the journey as the journey is often arduous.
Yet victory, the sweet taste of victory is what brings peace.
Consequently, the cadence of each step I take resonates victory.
