Victory Poem by Greg Boatman

Victory

Rating: 4.0

The war is won!
Our efforts appeased
Let songs be sung
And our qualms be eased

Hear the trumpets blare
Their brazen sound
Our people fair
Tread free ground

Give thanks to the Lord
Fold your hands and pray
Providence of God
Has shown us the way

The war has been won with grit and velour but the truly brave display no vanity. They, instead, bow their heads unto God for the victory. Wonderful poem.
