Victory With Jesus Poem by Luke Easter

Victory With Jesus

I want to be part of the victory,
Even share in Your hurt and pain,
Enemies placed beneath Your feet,
While eternal peace is gained.

Against those who wreak havoc,
To all standing in the way,
Giving praise, honor and glory,
When they take Your name in vain.

A victory that is claimed,
By walking the narrow road,
Not by those who don’t know You,
Because too heavy is their load.

Beware of those in emperor’s clothes,
And phony smiles when they greet,
Demanding the best of everything,
Taking front row seats at the feast.

Give your best in all you do,
In return expect the very least,
Should what you’ve done warrant it,
God will place you in a better seat.

Remember when the disciples,
Saw Christ walking on the sea,
Peter said, also let me walk on water,
So that I may come to Thee,

Leaving the boat he began walking,
It was the voice of Jesus he heard,
Peter only started to sink when forgetting,
He was actually stepping on the word.

The truth of God will never manifest,
Mixing doubt with what He says to believe,
Only when we rely on Him whole-heartedly,
Can we share the victory and receive.
