Vile, Dulcet, Lavish, Penurious Poem by Colleene Kabaria

Vile, Dulcet, Lavish, Penurious

Vile.
So cantankerous, people scamper and shadow
No one to be seen.
What happened to this person?
Fell into suicide....forgotten

Dulcet.
So lilt, people in exuberance everywhere,
so many,
What happened to this person?
No one liked what was inside,
No real friends were made,
depression won this battle.

Lavish.
So exquisite, hirelings everywhere you turn.
Egotistic, never got the memo,
cared about oneself, no one else.
What happened to this person?
Had no one to talk to.
Contained in her room for eternity.

Penurious.
So ebullient,
lived life to the fullest,
Until she saw she was impoverished.
What happened to this person?
Had no friends to help her.
Stopped trying to live, to make a living,
died of sorrow.

Me.
The definition of:
Vile,
dulcet,
lavish,
penurious.
Maybe not literally,
but in friends.
Friends will come,
go,
be mean or nice,
rich or poor.
Keep these people safe
Or else.
