Violent Change On Shore Poem by james watkin

Violent Change On Shore

Out a branched shade, what sprang up
Tossed for Day unstable.
Family decorum, then wiped
Off the picnic table.

Lurked no such dark intent, as
Had found its aim, pine-coned.
Nor out us, to spit a curse
On summer, chicken-boned.
