Visibility Poem by Jim Boone

Visibility

Don't rock me until the bough breaks
and I come falling down
or bless the ties that bind me.

I've spent a lifetime
trying (not trying) to free myself
from the deep rooted core beliefs
planted at birth and cultivated
as I fought to set myself free.

Fought? Did I say..... ran
I ran around in circles
within my cycles
finding no one to blame
but me.

'Heal thyself'
rings in my mind
as I look back
at my track record:
the knowing and ignoring
laying instead of loving
in flight instead of grounded
- at my lack of visibility.
