Tear down that wall
Music has its sad ending
Is our divide so great
When would I feel?
Your love again…
Those stares in your eyes
Dry like desert sand
And rough like sand paper
Have touched my wall
Came out from your storage bin.
At least sand paper
Has a better chance
To fulfil its destiny
While yours imprisons me
Between four empty walls,
And a locked barbered door
My jailor walks away
On the outside
I am on the inside
You are my jailor
Tear down that wall
Music has its sad ending
Is our divide so great?
When would I feel?
Your love again...
Time has not
Been kind to my face
It's the only thing
I wear well, so very well
Pale recessed eyes
Valleys forged from frowning
Dry rivers in my mouth
Silenced my tongue
Outside are signs of life
How do I know? I witness
Birds outside of my cage
Bask in the genteel pool
Why are their skies so blue?
Where as my heart is grey
Their songs are so painful
I listen to them with sorrowful ears
They highlight my worst fears
Reflecting all that in void
Inside my heart
Tear down that wall
Music has its sad ending
Is our divide so great?
When would I feel?
Your love again…
