Voice In The Dark Poem by Candy A. LaRock

Voice In The Dark

How dare you?
Says a voice in the dark.

How dare you?
Even think to start.

How dare you?
Think you will win.

How dare you?
Try to make a spark.

How dare you?
SHUT UP I shout into oblivion.

Silence in the darkness
The voice has no reply.

I shout back
How dare you?

How dare you?
Tell me my heart’s desire.

How dare you?
Cloud my mind.

How dare you?
Dictate what I can and will do.

Close your mouth, close it tight.
You are no longer welcome, be gone.

Do not look back
The door is locked, you belong to my past.
