Embers Poem by Candy A. LaRock

Embers

Rating: 5.0

Footsteps on the ground, hands reach down
Gathering tinder from all around.

Crackle and crunch says the dry leaves
A new found friend for me.

Flint and stone struck together
Useless without the other.

A spark created between the two
A place to start brand new.

Winds of fate begin to blow
A fire burns within my soul.

Showers of trouble slowly fall
Threatening to end it all.

Clouds roll by, blue clear sky
A single ember struggles to survive.

Hope prevails, fans the flames
A sign of better days.

A single ember, a ray of hope
Eternal love between our souls.

When one becomes frustrated in love, life becomes hopeless yet that tiny ember could blaze with hope of loving again when another comes along. Love like life must sustain, for the show must go despite failures. Thank you for sharing your poem, I ejoyed it.
