Voices Poem by Shay Mitchell

Voices

Someone whispers in your ear,
Telling you a secret.
Someone sings your name,
Or maybe even writes it.
How about when someone yells,
And blames you for everything.
All the pain, fighting, hatred.
What will you do then.
Go in your room and listen to the screaming?
Turn the music up loud?
Or how about test your pain,
With a blade?
Voices can be used in so many ways,
And they affect people unknowingly.
Simply by singing a certain song,
Whispering a secret in their ear.
Or saying how you feel on paper,
All can break someone down.
Take it from someone who knows,
Because my family breaks me down every day.
