Void - Poem by Joshua Cahoon

Windows shatter, Pouring rain,
Seek not heart, All life in vain,
Darkened light, there is to be,
Darkness brings what shadows see,
Forgotten light, there is no more,
Endless gloom, Eternal shore,
Whilst thou rest, Give a start,
Twirl thy fingers, Lest thou part,
Evermore, Will we sing?
Nevermore, What darkness brings.
Open calm, There is to see.
Nothing lasts,
All shadows flee...
