Void Poem by Suren Sarathkumara

Void

Rating: 5.0

Once again in September
Void hits life
Sheer sorrow pinning the soul
In a ruthless strike

Heavy heart carried
The dismay pillars buried
In gruesome rainy darkness
I saw ambient void

Moments of anxiety
Depression and pain
Dawning of agony
Every now and again

Expedition of joy
Where she was in
One dropp of solace
Was what I keen

Dreams ended where
The stagger starts
A dagger stuck hard
In mystic roles I cast

Every dream I saw her
She left me at the end
Endless nights of the trend
Made the fearful void

Sleeping is misery
And standing is the agony
Creaking heart of mine
Which she left but that’s fine

I knew she was laughing
Perhaps exited blushing
I remained in my corner
Embracing the dearest void

Friendly souls imaginary
I whispered at night
But inside I own
The void outright

Past could be torn
And frown looked back
But the pain with sanity
I kept for humanity

The better outside
That flatter fly in
But it’s hard to avoid
What YOU ARE really of devoid

(smiling…)
