Volcanic Cave Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Volcanic Cave

Vidgelmar cave
Shaped like a huge worm
Stretches underground
For about a mile.

This cave's a wonder
A signature of lava flow
As outer shell solidified
And the interior drained.

Metallic fragments and
Solidified molten rock
Show the power of nature
That controls man's destiny.

The cave's still young
The hanging stalactites
Are way far above
The rising stalagmites.

Interior of the cave
Is pitch dark indeed
Without the electric light
Nothing's distinct.

Volcanoes do exist
They may send lava down
Study of flow in cave'll help
In facing a future calamity.
