Voodoo Doll Poem by Genevieve Pilat

Voodoo Doll

Feel the jabs of each tiny pin
Puncturing your entire skin?
Feel the burns from the candle flame?
What I'm doing to you is quite tame.

In my hand I hold a doll
Looks like you but only small
Would voodoo magic really do the trick
And treat my pain you caused real quick?

I don't know if you'll feel the pain
What could I possibly even gain?
This voodoo doll could be a start
But it won't be able to heal my heart.
