Wait And See Poem by ian dixon

Wait And See

Though he be young and fully loaded
Stand back awhile and don't be goaded
Give it this and give it that
There is no doubt he'll want it back

Though in saddle hard and fast
Never doubt it will not last
Accept from me it cannot be
But then we can but wait and see

Though you see dark in light
There is always profit in a fight
So hear from me and try
Not to be devoted to a lie

Though you may not have wished it so
Within, you did already know
That whilst there were wars we fought
There were none we could not thwart
