Wait Up Poem by william cunningham

Wait Up

I can make this rhyme
But its like telling you the time
When your telling me your fine
I'm telling you I'm being kind
I just want you to wait up for me
Because I'm your protector
I'll be your savour
But as long as you promise to take care of me
You'll continue being my only priority
So don't be afraid
I'll have everything made
Just keep on closing your eyes and believe
Believe you are the best
Don't think about being second best
Just imagine the world
Its curved like a pearl
Expensive like the bank
Money raising up big
You got stacks standing in a safe
Where you'll wait up
Until you've grown up
So don't provoke me
Because I'll chase you down
And catch you and hold you in my arms
Until we fall apart
But we are so close
I want the most
But I can't have everything
So this is where it ends
Its only if I want it to end
But I don't feel ready to extend
So I'll keep my distance and I'll be waiting up at the bend
Just keep calm and carry on
Just dream that your on top and dawn is rising
I thought fire was amusing
Just realised that its killing
So many people ready to get going
Because there showing signs of fear
You see fear in actions of people
When you see the fear
Don't shed a tear
Your gonna have to face your fears soon
So don't act like your doomed
You can wait up for me and I'll help you through it all
Even if we ain't talking
We can put are differences aside
And collide together
Until everything is better
I just want you to wait up for me
Your blowing way to far ahead of me
Just keep your cool
You might be raging
But you have to chill out
Wait up for me and you'll see that I'm here for you
Whenever you need
Just wait up
Wait up
