Waiting Poem by Brett Levu

I wait by the phone for a call that never came.
I wait for love from a distance yet I seem to get only pain.
But....... I wait.....
It is hard to control, this feeling of loneliness.
It is hard to control my doubts and my regrets.
Yet I promised to wait for her unsure return.
And I wait though unsure.... Of what my heart will yearn.
But....... I wait....... I wait.....
The desires that come my way are hard to turn away.
The chaos I'm going through in this day and age.
My heart beats for only her..... and it beats on day by day.
My body and my soul have been locked away in true loves cage.
So I wait....... I wait...... I wait.....
But the question is.............................. Will you?
