Waiting Poem by Claude Davis III

Waiting

We haven't been dating for that long
But I've already have a million memories
With skin and lips that soft
My mind can't forget any time we touch

My lips and fingertips
Ache and cry for another one of those memories
Fingers waiting to stroke your beautiful face and hair
And lips waiting for another sweet long kiss

My eyes dazing off remembering your great looks
Arms shaking... missing holding you tight
My mind's acting like a slide show playing all my favorite memories
But my heart's... just fine... knowing you're still in it
