Waiting For An Orange Moon Poem by Rob Lamberton

Waiting For An Orange Moon

I wait to smell the flowers
I wait to eat the pleasant fruits
I wait to view the mountains
And to climb those mountain peaks

I remember the pleasant scenery
The doves cooing in the morning breeze
I want to climb the mount together
Hand in hand upon our knees

Come with me from flower to flower
Come with me from tree to tree
Let us eat the fruits together
Leap and swim within the sea

Hide right there between the rocks
Hide right there inside our dream
Reveal the secrets of the fountains
Reveal the secrets of the streams

I wait to see your face
To hear sounds pouring from your lips
I wait to leap across the mountains
To bound from hill to hill
I wait to embrace the taste of gardens
Full and fresh upon your hips

May the fragrant pineapple tease you
Full of juices of delight
As we wait again together
Orange moon removes the shadows of the night
