Waiting For It's Opening Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Waiting For It's Opening

Waiting For It's Opening

Wedged between the cleft
Protected from the elements
A resplendent maiden flower
So sheltered from the sun
warm rays rarely caress it's petals
Yet still teasing it to unfold
Glistening with morning dew
it is patiently waiting for it's opening
