Waiting For You Poem by J M. Basey

Waiting For You

Rating: 5.0

there goes my wishes,
that keep me dreaming,
i really don't understand,
why you keep on screaming?

you bring me closer to the past,
trust me we can't make this last,
no matter how many times you cry,
try to understand that,
you've bled my soul dry.

i'm waiting for you,
i know your leaving,
i don’t love you,
but for some reason,
your the one who keeps me breathing.

please just go away,
i'm truly fed up,
with these mind games you play.

i'm waiting for you,
you keep on screaming,
i don’t love you,
even though what you’re saying to me,
has completely no meaning.

you bring me closer to yesterday,
yet what you haven’t realised,
yesterday’s a million miles away.

i'm waiting for you,
i know your leaving,
i don’t love you,
but for some reason,
your the one who keeps me breathing.

The things you tell me,
I can’t get to sleep,
my dreams are burning slowly,
making my soul grow weak.

just leave me now,
and keep your distance,
so my heart can beat again,
building up a strong resistance.

you bring me closer to yesterday,
yet what you haven’t realised,
yesterday’s a million miles away.

i'm waiting for you,
i know your leaving,
i don’t love you,
but for some reason,
your the one who keeps me breathing.
