Waiting For You To Open Your Eyes.. Poem by samantha mulkins

Waiting For You To Open Your Eyes..

Your afraid to try something new,
barricaded by the thought of another’s view.
Your afraid to move on and wonder from that comfort zone,
she’s on the other line,
so you gotta get off the phone?
Your afraid of being with me,
that something new.
Afraid of it being real,
or that something thats true.
When I see you kiss her,
there is no emotion.
We have that fire,
that burning love potion.
So you sit here,
dumb founded by conventional cockiness,
withdraw yourself from this never-ending essence of pure seductiveness.
