Waiting For Your Call Poem by Cheyenne Ashley

Waiting For Your Call

Why am I always sitting here waiting for your call?
You tell me you're going to call me
Then I sit and wait, keeping my hopes up for hours on end
But you never call
Then I realize you were never even going to call in the first place
And I feel stupid for waiting around for you
So I just abandon my hope and lay on my bed crying myself to sleep
The next day I ask you why you didnt call
And I know as well as you do that your reason is a lie
That you just didnt want to spend anytime with me
So I'll do you a favor
Next time when you say you're going to call me
I'll give you some of the time I've spent waiting for your call
That way I know our time will never run out
Because I've been waiting a long time for your call
