Waiting In The Night Poem by Sara Hol

Waiting In The Night

Rating: 5.0

A silent breeze has stuck the night,
and I find myself wishing
that you were here.

The clouds have grown dark
as they become one with the sky,
I find my need for comfort
increasing as seconds pass.

My mind circulates everything
as I feel my blood
slowly pulsing through my veins,
The silence begins to penetrate.

If only you were here
to hold me in your arms,
If only you were here
to reassure me of my doubts,
If only you were here
to catch the tears that have fallen,
If only you were here..
If only.

But who are 'you'?
I am waiting for 'you'
yet, I have no clue who 'you' are.
I have no name or face
to give to 'you',
no memories that we share,
only dreams.

Every night I wait,
Every night I dream,
Every night I cry..

Every night I wait for 'you'
to finally find me.
I wait for 'you'
whoever 'you' may be.
