Waiting In The Rockies Poem by Lena Frank

Waiting In The Rockies

So far away and yet you are so dear
When I think of a wasted summer past
The distance is ever so great I fear
For you see the land between is very vast.
You kept me warm on a cold summer night
Down by the river. I am missing you.
You comforted me when I was afright,
Alone in the dark. Do you miss me too?
Your warm smile is amazingly adorable
In so many ways you brighten my day
So sweet you could be in a real fable
We were both born in the month of May
Have I found my knight in shining armor?
At the very least I have found a paramour
