Wake Up Poem by Joshua Bryan Sylvestre

Wake Up

Rating: 5.0

I wake up as the white light flashes over my eyes.
I'm unable to hear, except for a voice which sounds like Morgan Freeman.
He says "This is what's yet to come! "

I feel my spirit leave my body, but it stays still.
I shout at the voice "Why am I not going to heaven? "
No response

Suddenly, all my senses become agitated, they come at me all at once.
I can hear the sorrow of my family, as they see me hanging.
I watch the paramedics remove the rope from my neck
The voice yells at me "Your time has not come, so your soul shall stay on earth until then! "
I cry out "Why? "

I feel sweat trickle down my spine.
Hands, shake me.
I see my parents.

I wake up,
Knowing I'm meant to be here.

When your earthly is over and done, then you will be in the presence of Jesus Christ- God's only begotten Son- forever more! Therefore comfort one another with these words- Jesus Christ is coming back again soon- for all of His beloved children!
