And these were desperate times:
Sitting close to the window
So I could rest my head
And wake up with a heavy, sallow dream
As I see the bus pass through
The convoluted terrain -
The clouds augured rain.
They appeared to be morosely gorged
And when one feline-shaped cloud
Moved in a trifle hesitation,
The sun grimaced.
The majestic corona disappeared
By the greed of the clouds.
Wake up, poor, desolate child.
The Sun may be in hiding
But soon, the clouds would be fazed
And there, salute the Sun,
The way the meddling roses do.
