Wake Up Child Poem by Roger Snow

Wake Up Child

In the Key of " B " ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Tramping round
Seeking nothing
Trying for lost not found

Maybe your eyes
will come to see, ,
What a Dancer
I've come to be, , , , , ,

Bit by the Bug of Love
Bit so hard
drove me down
to the ground
right through the Rug
and into a Trail against
all, , ,

Now you can say
that's not true at all
But, , ,

I tell ya man
Mating ain't just for the Birds
and Talking from my heart
involves, , , ,
way more, , ,
than just simple Words

So, , , ,
When the Spring
comes back around
I pray your ready girl
Cause I'm coming back
to this here old town

and bring a Ring to fit
that smiling finger
the One without Polish
or blemish upon it

Smile away the Mist
come and sing me home
Time to give up
one more kiss
and realize, ,
we belong together alone.

(bridge)

Never could do no wrong?

Ok, , ,
Like it's wrong when, , ,
the Sleeping Child
dreams to wake up free

nor when a Breeze lays your mind
sideways into and out of time

never could do no right

well maybe child that's
more wrong then Right
and, , ,
Maybe doing nothing is the same

and just for instance
can we do away with
placing Blame

and by the way
have you seen
the Diamond
inside this here Ring

Um, trip to life like a Marching Band
Flips around
comes up and over, , ,
By the other Finger
on the other hand.

~~~ End ~~~
This was a Jam I wrote to fill in the end of our CD.
