Waking To Spring Sun Poem by Sumanth Mukkala

Waking To Spring Sun

As I feel the tingles
in the tips of my fingers,
I begin to open my eyes,
to notice the morning shine
touching the side of her face
as she sits at the window
facing me,
looking at me,
smiling with her eyes, showing
how joyful she would be
if I took her in my arms,
sweatied her palms,
caressed here face
resettled her in my embrace
with her white dress of lace
being the lone separator of our carnal interlace.

I smile,
push into the bed,
reach out to her lips,
and give into her grips

as we commence this morning
with all the vibrance of spring.
