Walking Away Poem by basil nesheiwat

Walking Away

Walking with you
Staring at you walk
Imagining us walking together holding hands
As two breathtaking Lovebirds sit together
the cold night swirling the wispy air
we still move on walloping back and forth
Laughing at each other and the cracks on the ground that
keep us from walking in a straight line.

Walking with you
Staring at you walk
Imagining us walking together just being as one
As language is key for all
We use both of our languages to communicate
With our hands and hearts both fluttering I start
To think why is it possible is she the one

Walking with you
Staring at you walk
Imagining us walking together holding each other
As a cross between two strange uniquely
Independent dogs like a poodle and a pug that
Are not allowed in the house unless it’s a rainy night.

Walking with you
Starting at you walk
Imagining us walking together forever
As we walk the time around us seams to move faster and faster
Yet we stay together holding hands looking at each other.

Then we hug and walk away
