Walking In Darkness Poem by Ian Willey

Walking In Darkness

Rating: 5.0

listen to that grebe go
it's just getting warmed up
one day that cry will pierce the silence of space
and find its way to the heart of a black hole
where it will imbibe the wisdom of the universe
and then—just as Einstein predicted—it will hurtle back
through the void and return to this exact spot
brimming over with purpose and terror and joy
to answer every question we've ever had
if anyone is around to hear it.
