Walking Into A Forest Poem by james watkin

Walking Into A Forest

Rating: 5.0

He went in, conspicuous
Among all creatures
As one, in his upright lion's
Gruff pride reassures
Only to dwindle, shuddering.
Expunged for shadow.
A man, no more. A blown cone;
Pine forest's brought low.
